What customers say?

“ It's not a fancy restaurant, but the food is homemade. I'd like to highlight the roasted chicken; it tastes much better than the free-range chickens we buy from the butcher. Everyone was friendly and attentive; the prices are more affordable and the portions are generous. Although it's a small restaurant, the tables are larger than usual, making it more comfortable because there's space for everything. There are two house wines; the best one, the reserve, isn't expensive, but it's very good as long as you let it breathe before drinking it. With several appetizers, soup, a main course, and dessert, I managed to spend less than €30 per person. ”

“ We came here because we were passing by and reading the reviews, and it didn't disappoint. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. The tomato soup was huge and delicious, quite surprising. The chicken was juicy and well-cooked. Two people ate a lot for €44. ”

“ We went because of the good Google reviews, and it's truly wonderful. A restaurant stuck in time, a small village in the middle of nowhere. The food was wonderful. The waiter, due to the language barrier, gave us some great recommendations. Everything was great. For 40 euros, a couple can have a wonderful meal. I hope they continue like this for a long time. ”

“ What a pleasant surprise! We went to charge our battery at the Montemor Supercharger before heading to the Algarve, and after checking out the restaurants nearby, we called to make a reservation. What delicious comfort food! What friendly staff! What a pleasant atmosphere! We ate bread, ham, eggs with sausage, cabbage soup with pasta, a local wine, and for dessert, an egg pudding. Everything was very good! A place to return to, without a doubt. ”

“ Nice quaint stop on our way to Evora from Lisbon. Served family style. Food was really good, kid friendly (high chair). Felt like eating at a family’s house. In a small remote town ”

“ This restaurant is located on a small hill between Évora and Montemor-o-Novo. It's one of those places that Michelin should visit. No frills, smoke, or fancy moments. Just quality food, truly Portuguese. Delicious tomato soup, excellent roasted chicken. Quality wine and very good cheese and desserts. It's well worth a number of stars. Simple dining room, very friendly and attentive service. It's only open on weekends and it's advisable to book. ”

- José Carlos Igreja -

“ Very good food, a unique setting, well worth the detour. The friendliness and the cuisine make all the difference. The oven-baked chicken reminds me of grandma's cooking, and the cod is only flawed by its short run. The desserts were a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the food. ”
